| Dear shalini, |
|
| I am glad that you can feel us teachers as you have been a good and
responsible teacher yourself. This helps u know in and out of the
teacher's psychology.
I am really enjoying in this school (touch wood)where there is space
to breathe and work atmosphere gets u going without getting tired. |
|
I have been of this mind that work shps need to be more on personality
development of the teachers as they come across crazy situations in
schools. So something which keeps them firm in all times of odds are
these gentle repeated reminders through trainings and wrkshps.
I am blessed to be in such a place and may god bless all good souls.
thanks again for your motivation. |

| Dear shalini, |

| Noted Brazilian writer Paulo Coehlo says,” Each one of us have our personal legend to fulfill, and that is all. It does not matter if other people support us, criticize us, ignore us or put up with us. We are doing it because that is our destiny on this earth, and the fount of all joy”. My inspiration for taking up the profession of teaching comes precisely from the aforementioned pearls of wisdom. |

| Teaching is in sync with my intellectual sensibilities and inner state of compassion and empathy. I am an idealist and so have firm faith in the tenets of ‘Satyam’, ‘Shivam’, ‘Sundaram’, which are the basic principles of teaching profession as well. So being a teacher is a way to keep myself in touch with my spiritual life, nurturing instincts, moral well being and human virtues. |

| This is one profession that enables you to keep alive the child within. A teacher remains youthful forever be it intellectually (only a burning lamp can light other lamps), emotionally (one negative thought on the part of teacher and you will have a whole class simmering with negative energy) or physically (a teacher has to be on his toes always). |
|
| As for the activities to be taken up by the teacher of today’s classroom are concerned, the words of noted literary critic Oscar Wilde come handy, he says,” Education is an advisable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that worth knowing can be taught.” I am fully aware of the cynic tone of the statement but a thoughtful deliberation makes it a worthwhile guideline as it says that in today’s era of wikipedia, wikitionary |

| And not to forget intelligent, aware and well educated parents, teacher’s job has changed dimensions. He is more of a manager who teaches knowledge management. He is the one who assesses the emotional quotient of the students in order to sublimate their weaknesses and chisel their strength in the quest of holistic development of the child---- intellectual, emotional, physical, social and spiritual. |
