Greetings!!
I am both pleased and honored to inform all of you that our Director Ms. Shalini Nambiar is going to be conferred the most prestigious 'Mother Teresa Excellence Award' at Hyderabad on June 24th by Integrated Council of Socio Economic Progress, a Non-Profit organization for her meritorious services and achievements.
On the occasion a selected galaxy of people who have excelled on different fields will be honored.
Foremost to her belief is that children should be happy. She believes that 'Happiness is the key to Success'. The willingness, inquisitiveness and enthusiasm for learning should come naturally. Children should love learning. This is what is called as self-inspired learning, where children are allowed to choose their activity within the boundaries of their learning environment. External motivation like grades, rewards and punishments are not needed when children learn based on self-motivation.
Ms. Shalini encourages her teachers to think outside the box and finding creative solutions to a problem. She wants to extend learning beyond the four walls of the classroom where teachers can freely act as facilitators of each child's learning and progress.
We, at Excelsior support her vision and are inspired by her every day.
